SPARKS Jerome "Jerry" Sparks, 78 of London died Friday, December 6, 2013 in the Kobacker House, Columbus. Born January 15, 1935 in Bellefontaine; he was a son of Miriam M. (Bower) and Richard P "Dick" Sparks. Jerry had served in Europe for the US Army and had worked for General Motors for over 30 years. A member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church; he also belonged to UAW Local #969 and enjoyed being an active member of the Madison County Senior Center. Survivors include his children Stephen (Jayne) Sparks of Galloway, Stephanie (Neil) Clarridge of Danville, VA and Ruric (Trisha) Sparks of London; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Frederic (Patricia) Sparks of Bucyrus, sister Sharon G. (Roy C.) Weimert of The Villages, FL, brother in law Dan Ashcraft of Bellefontaine and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Nancy D. Ashcraft and great grandson Cameron. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 222 Schoolhouse Lane, Columbus with Rev. Kim Trimboli officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM in Bellefontaine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N.
