IAMS
Jennifer Lee (Douglass) Iams, 37, passed unexpectedly on Friday, December 12, 2025, in her residence, and has left an ache that words can barely hold. She was a deeply kind soul whose heart belonged to the outdoors. Nature was where Jennifer felt whole, where her spirit was calm, and where she found joy in the simplest, most honest ways.
She loved the quiet of early mornings spent fishing, the patience and purpose of hunting, and the steady rhythm of working in her garden. Wandering the woods while mushroom hunting brought her a special kind of happiness – eyes open, heart grateful, connected to something older and deeper than words. Being outside was not just something Jennifer enjoyed; it was where she felt most at home, and most like herself.
She carried that same gentleness and care into everything she did. When she wasn’t outside, she found comfort in knitting, her hands creating warmth much like she did in the lives of those around her. She gave love quietly, without expectation, and left a lasting impression through her presence rather than her words.
Though her life was heartbreakingly short, Jennifer’s love for the land, her kindness, and her peaceful spirit will continue to live on in every trail, garden, and still morning she so dearly loved. She will be missed beyond measure.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband Jake Iams; son Aaden Iams, daughters Sophia Iams and Corrin Douglass; father Jeff Douglass; sisters Ann Marie Douglass and Ashlynn Douglass; sister-in-law Jerica Summers; nephews Calvin Douglass and Carter Toles; paternal grandparents Bill and Sue Douglass; aunt Jeri Lee McDaniel, uncles Guy Evans, Willie (Lisa) Douglass, and Danny Douglass; cousins: Corey Gartin, Cortney Garrett, Corbin Conwell, Tyler Douglass, Kayla Crawford, Evie Douglass, and Pippa Douglass.
She was preceded in death by her mother Teri Marie Douglass and maternal grandparents Wilbur and Carolyn Evans.
Following her passing, Jennifer leaves a lasting act of love behind as she was able to restore the gift of life and sight for others through being a tissue and eye donor.
A time of gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140.
Condolences and prayers for the Iams family are encouraged to be shared online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
