HOWARD Jennie Howard, 64, of London, died Sunday, September 1, 2013 in her residence. Born January 20, 1949 in Ray, Ohio she was a daughter of Harold W. and Margaret Eloise (Speakman) Harper. Jennie had been employed by Nissen Chemitec America (the former Worthington and London Industries) in London for the past 23 years. She had also cooked and later managed the former LK Restaurant in Mt. Sterling as well as working at OPOTA for nine years, taking training and self defense in addition to cooking. She had attended the Newport Church of Christ in Christian Union. Survivors include her sons James (Cindy) Pollock of London, Steve Pollock (Shelly Adams) of Newport and John Pollock of London; grandchildren James Edward Pollock III and Melissa Sue Pollock both of Canton, Jennifer Pollock of London, Nicole (J.R.) Canterbury of Mt. Sterling and Alisha Grace Harper of south Solon; two great grandchildren; special friend Rodger I. Baker of London, brothers Bill (Kathy) Harper and Carl "Gene" Harper of London, John (Judy) Harper and Dan (Tonya) Harper of South Solon; sisters Elsie Snyder of Columbus, Sue (John) Lindig of London, Carolyn (Harold0 Redding of Mt. Sterling, Vicky (Ken) Johnson of Columbus, Martha Ann (Russell) Cutlip of London, Roseann (Chad) Stedding and Betty Hopkins both of London; many nieces and nephews and friend of the family Billy Holland of London. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Evelyn McCafferty, husband Gene Howard and very dear friend Jerry George. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London, OH with Reverend Gordon Ell officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday. If they wish, friends may make donations in Jennie's name to the funeral home.
