Jay W Ferrell II passed away unexpectedly and heartbreakingly on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Jay was an avid outdoorsman who spent nearly two decades working in the natural gas industry. But his true joy was found at home. For the past 30 years, he shared a deep and steadfast love with his wife, Kathy. Together, they built a beautiful life on their farm — filled with laughter, countless projects, loyal dogs, and quiet moments that meant everything.

He cherished every opportunity to be outdoors, especially hunting and fishing alongside family and friends. Some of his happiest days were spent sharing those experiences with his nephews, teaching them and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; his dogs, Remington Iver and Henry Lewis; his mother Sandra (Joe) Wilkinson; mother-in-law Shirley Watkins; brother Jon Ferrell (and family); sister Samantha (Darryl) Shockling; brother-in-law Don (Beth) Davis; and many beloved nieces and nephews — Erika (Bary) Watkinson, Nathaniel (Rebecca) Blankenship, Ben (Annabelle) Blankenship, Jeremiah (Stacey) Blankenship, Christopher Blankenship, and Sarah Blankenship; many great nephews and nieces; and dearest friends Paul Grantonic and Greg Sullivan

He was preceded in death by his father Jay W. Ferrell; fathers-in-law Ken Boyer and David Watkins; mother-in-law Anna Boyer; sister-in-law Cyndi Boyer; brother-in-law David Watkins Jr.; many aunts and uncles; and his beloved pets Hunter, Colt, and Mesa.

Jay's presence will be deeply missed, but the love and laughter he brought to so many will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The Ferrell family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in The Cypress Church of London, 2343 US Highway 42, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral service will commence at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jody Pickett officiating and interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery.
