Janet Alice Gingerich Stephenson, of Cheviot, Ohio, formerly of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024 at her daughter's residence in Orient, Ohio. She was 91.

Janet was the loving wife of the late James Whitmore Stephenson, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, who passed away January 15th, 2018.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Mayor of Cheviot, Edward Christian and Dorothy Moffett Gingerich.

Janet graduated from the University of Cincinnati, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Education. She also performed Masters level work at the University of Washington in Seattle. She was employed as a teacher and social worker for many years prior to her retirement from the Social Security Administration.

In her free time, Janet enjoyed her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren.

Janet will be deeply missed by her children, James E. Stephenson, Mark W. Stephenson (Debra), David E. Stephenson (Cindy), Lynne M. Lambert (Corky), Laura A. DiDonato (Anthony); 9 grandchildren, Michelle, Jessica, Amanda, Amelia, Mark II, Gina, Lea, Charles, Madison; and 5 great grandchildren, Tiffany, Drake, Keaton, Aria & Charlotte.

Graveside services for Janet will be held privately at the convenience of the family at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
