ZORNES

James "Jim" Zornes, 65, of Plumwood, died Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in Mount Carmel Hospital, Grove City. Jim loved the Lord and his family. He is sadly missed.

Born September 6, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of Helen Faye (Smith) and Russell James Preston Zornes.

Most of his career, he worked as a production manager. As the market for plastics changed, he worked as a corrections officer & then retired from Matco managing a workshop for disabled individuals. A skilled machinist who enjoyed working on and fixing almost anything, Jim really enjoyed riding his motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife of almost 46 years Sylvia (Stepp) Zornes; children Anna Hanes, James "Jimmy" (Lindsey) Zornes II, and Zach Zornes; grandchildren Blake, Ava, Andrea, Clay, Beau, Maggie and Leah; brothers John (Loretta) Zornes, Larry (Janet) Zornes, Gary Zornes, sister Patty (Walt) Keigley and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bobby and Clarence Zornes, grandmother Flora Hessler and uncle Carl Young.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, September 19, 2022, in the Plumwood Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Tracy Dague officiating. Interment will follow in Plumwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11 AM until time of services Monday.
