TOPE James M. Tope, 86, a life time resident of Range, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in his residence. Born December 2, 1930 at Danville in the house he lived in his entire life; a son of Roy and Lillie Tope. He was a lifetime farmer; his first eight years of education were at Danville Elementary and he graduated from Midway High School, class of 1948.He is survived by his wife Barbara (Chaney) Tope, sons Raymond (Debbie) Tope of West Carrollton, Russell (Rose) Tope and Ronald Tope both of Range; grandchildren Tyler Tope, Amie Tope, Jenna Tope (Mike Rockwell) and Molly (Chris) Lopatowitz, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Victor Tope, brother Raymond Tope and sister Kathleen Corsette. At Jim's request, there will be private services at the family farm and interment will be in Range Township Cemetery. Jim thanks God for much happiness and pleasures from his family and friends.
