James "Jim" Larry Donohoe, 87, of London, OH. died Friday, January 31, 2025, at 2:43 PM, in Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital.
Born April 4, 1937, in Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of James W. and Betty M. Donohoe.
As a practiced horticulturalist for over 50 years, he was passionate about always putting in the time and attention needed to make sure his plants and gardens would thrive. He was an avid photographer and a voracious reader with amazing recall. He always had a dog at his side. He loved his dogs and could communicate with them on an impressive level developing incredible, intimate connections. With a wonderfully underlying, subtle sense of humor he was a phenomenal orator who loved telling stories of all sorts. His stories could be anything ranging from history, genealogy, paranormal or just a good old tale to family and friends. Of all his hobbies, interests and passions, the one he loved the most was being a friend and helping hand to those who needed it most.
Jim is survived by his life partner Wilma Sparks of London, Ohio, daughter Tammy L. Anaya and her husband Drew of Phoenix, AZ., son James G. Donohoe and his wife Genie of Surprise, AZ. Grandchildren: Andy Anaya, Ashley Whipple, James K. Donohoe and Alyssa Christian. Great Grandchildren: Jade, Marci, James Levi, Anaias, Aster and Iyla. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place in accordance with James' wishes. Public services will not be observed.
