BUELL

James A. Buell, 81, of London, died Monday, May 26, 2025, in the Bluebird Retirement Community, London, surrounded by his loving family.

Born September 8, 1943, in Columbus, he was a son of Arnold M. and Jacqueline A. (Salters) Buell.

For 30 years, Jim worked for ODOT before retiring in 2000. A longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of London, Jim had been very active in showing quarter horses with his family with the Central State Horse Show Association, where he was named Groom of the Year in 1992. He also had been interested in traveling on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Becky (Beekman) Buell; brother Ronald Buell, sister Barbara (Tom) Ward; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Cheryl (John) McSavaney and their daughters Cheron (Rob) Geesling and Stacey Seaburn.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Jane Buell.

Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London from 4:00 -7:00 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Oak Hill Cemetery, London, with Pastor Sue McClelland officiating.
