BLOOMFIELD James Andrew "Jim" Bloomfield, 60, of London died May 4, 2016 at his residence. Born June 15, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio; he was a son of Richard and Jeanne (Czubachowski) Bloomfield. Jim retired as a staff sergeant from the US Army, after serving in the Recondo unit (an elite special force) in the early 1980's as Airborne Infantry and also served his country as a member of the Multinational Force and Observers in the Sinai region of Egypt and finished his career as a recruiter and personnel clerk for the Army National Guard. Jim and his wife Denise attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, until just recently when they started attending the First United Methodist Church of London. Survivors include his wife of 13 years Denise (Williams) Bloomfield; children Lucas (Julia) Bloomfield and their children Allison and Kaden, Brent Bloomfield, Ashley (Patrick) Jacobs and their son Parker, Caleb Bloomfield, and Eli (Melody) Bloomfield; sister Ellen (Jim) Schiavone, brother Chris Bloomfield, nieces and nephews, and best friend Glenn (Nicki) Omori. He was preceded in death by an infant son Tyler and his parents. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 27, 2016 in the First United Methodist Church, 52 N. Main St, London with Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1 PM until time of service.
