ELLARS Irene Ellars, 87, of London died Monday, February 3, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born July 27, 1926 in Bainbridge; she was a daughter of Cleveland and Effie (Harrison) Knisley. An active member of the London Church of the Nazarene; Irene was a matron of the former Madison County Children's Home. Survivors include her husband of 67 years Don Ellars, daughter and son in law Dianne and Bud Miller of London, son Donald "Pete" Ellars of Columbus, grandson Joshua Ellars, great granddaughters Destiny, Lexie and Daisy Ellars all of London; brother Russell Knisley of Plain City, several nieces and nephews and many close friends including Judy Shoemaker of Oregon and Jim and Brenda Stambaugh of London. She was preceded in death by her parents and 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday in the London Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jack Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Range Township Cemetery, Sedalia. Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London from 5-7 PM Thursday and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
