JONES Henry E. "Jim" Jones, 74 of London, died Monday, November 6, 2017 in The Arbors at West Jefferson. Born January 17, 1943 in Plattsburg, he was a son of Freedman and Marie (Baird) Jones. A US Army veteran, Jim had worked for Forrest Trucking in West Jefferson and was also a member of the Aerie #950, FOE. Survivors include his wife Margaret "Peggy" (Laybourne) Jones, sons Henry "Tom" (Jenni), Charles "Bill", Jimmy (Debbie) and Jon (Kelley) Jones; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Mary Ann Henry and brother William "Bo" Jones; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patricia "Sue" and brother Charlie. In keeping with Mr. Jones' wishes, neither visitation nor services will be observed and cremation is to take place.
