SMITH

Gregory Dale Smith passed from his earthly life on June 16, 2024. He lived in Fairview Heights, Illinois with his long-term fiancée Kristin Frazier and her golden retriever, "Pops." Neighbors knew him well from his big smile, friendly wave and puppy that he walked twice every day.

He attended Wittenberg University and later held management positions at Kroger in Dallas, Texas, CVS in Boston, Massachusetts, Blockbuster Video in St. Louis, Missouri, and as a paralegal also in St. Louis, Missouri. He was well loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather Eleanor (Fred) Ballard and father David Smith, both of London; brother Randal N. Smith; long-term fiancée Kristen Frazier of Fairview Heights, Illinois; aunts and uncles Dennis (Carmia) Smith, Noel Bigham, Prudence (Phil) Goodyear, Claudia (Marty) Saperstein, Ann Martin, Charles Carson; numerous cousins; special friend Ernie Sparks.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Raymond and Amy Smith, maternal grandparents James and Gwyneth Martin; uncles James R. Martin and Bruce Bigham, aunt Theda Carson.

Graveside services for Gregory will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM in Kirkwood Cemetery, 1600 US Highway 42 SW, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Blair Miller officiating.
