SMITH Gladine (Stanley) Smith, 98, formerly of Columbus, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in Urbana. Born February 13, 1915 in Chillicothe; she was a daughter of Jessie and Julia (Wright) Stanley. Gladine had worked at Caskey's Cleaners for many years, retiring at the age of 91. A member of the New Life Apostolic Church and the Bethel Pentecostal Church of London; she was a faithful mother of the church, a former choir member and a longtime missionary and PAW member. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins, including special nephew George "Buster" (Nona) Stanley of Springfield. Preceding her in death were her husband Lloyd Smith; sisters Vallie Wilson, Martha Stanley, Opal Bailey and Imogene Stanley; brothers George, William, Jim, Jessie Jr., Edward, infant brother Frankie and Reginald "Dave" Stanley. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London, Ohio with Rev. Richard Peterson officiating.
