SHAFLEY

Geraldine Shafley "Gerry", of London passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Born September 28, 1924 in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, she was the eldest daughter of Paul and Ann (Williams) Cline.

Gerry enjoyed music, playing the piano and organ, and singing in the church choir. She had also belonged to the Rebekah Lodge. Gerry took great pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren. She retired from National Electric Coil in Columbus, in 1988, where she had worked as a personnel assistant. After their retirements, Gerry and her husband enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years William Shafley; son William Shafley II and his wife Barbara Rowles; daughter Carole Risbeck and her husband James Risbeck; grandchildren William Shafley III, Matthew Shafley, Michelle Smith, Matthew Risbeck, Michael Risbeck; six great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents and sister Pauline Smith.

An informal memorial service was held at Madison Senior Living Community with residents and staff. A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.
