Freeda Sanson, 91, formerly of London, died Monday, October 13, 2025, in Arbors West.
Born November 29, 1933, in McCarr, Kentucky, Freeda was a daughter of Holland and Mamie (Whaley) Hawkins.
A feisty lady, Freeda was "quite" the driver and loved playing practical jokes on everyone. She also had several collections of beloved personal items ranging from shoes and purses to stuffed animals and wall clocks.
She had attended the former Gospel Tabernacle in London.
Survivors include her sister Margaret Hawkins Ray; eight grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Joyce Hawkins and very close friends Sylvia Zornes and Mary Lou Turner.
Preceding Freeda in death were her parents, husband James E. Sanson, daughters Linda Camp, Millie (Roger) Burt and Carolyn (John) Wiget, granddaughter Valarie Wiget, sister Patricia Lambert and brothers Teddy Hawkins and Holland Hawkins, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2025, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Mary Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery, London. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of services Friday.
