COX Frank H. Cox, 90, of London died Friday, March 23, 2018 in the Arbors of West Jefferson. Born July 19, 1927 in London; he was a son of William and Rose (Price) Cox. Frank retired from Madison County Hospital as an orderly, umpired in local softball leagues and ran the chain-gang for London High School home football games at Von Kanel Field. Survivors include his daughter Francine (Cox) Turner of Springfield; grandsons Delmar Turner, Armondo Turner, Lewis Hutchison and Lucius Hutchison; granddaughters Frankie Lynn Cox, Katrina Berry, Ashley Cox and Jennifer Cox; niece Jacqueline Schook of London, nephews Danny (Tootie) Polley of Sherwood, IL, Dwight "Spunk" Cox and Mark Cox both of London. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Rev. Frank Cox, Jr; brother William "Bill" Cox, sisters Marvine (Cox) Miller and Rosemary "Sissy" Cox; nephews Jeffrey Cox and Chris Cox and his wife Mary Ellen (Hoosier) Cox. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, March 31, 2018 in St. Paul AME Church, 11 W. Center St, London with Rev. Melvyn Huguely and Pastor Sandie Cunningham officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to St. Paul AME Church.
