Frances Ann was born October 25, 1938, in Midway (Sedalia), Ohio to Marie (Smith) McCormack and Robert McCormack.
She married James R. Martin on June 7, 1959, in the Presbyterian Church in Midway, Ohio.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey Todd Martin and daughter-in-law Kim, daughter Maria Gwyn Hill and son-in-law Dave; grandchildren: Jacob, Benjamin, Hannah (fiancé Sam Schafer) and J.T. Martin, Caleb (Mary) and Ira Gill, and Hailey Hill; great-grandson Jackson W.H. Gill; sister Roberta Byerly; nephews Adam Rodgers, Aaron (Kelly) Rodgers, Randy Smith, and niece Carrie Worthington; great-nieces and nephews: Ava, Zoey, Skyler, Owen Macklin, and David Liam Rodgers; sister-in-law Eleanor (Fred) Ballard, brother-in-law Chuck Carson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband James R. Martin, sister Pat Brock, nephew Greg Smith, sister-in-law Theda Carson, nephew-in-law Tony Worthington.
Frances Ann was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of London. She worked at O’Connors Printing for 10 years as a type setter, a floral designer for London Florist, an associate at DFS for Eddie Bauer, and as a secretary for an accountant in Upper Arlington.
She found joy in the beautiful things in life, especially through her love of floral arranging. Her creativity and eye for design earned her recognition at the Madison County Fair, where she proudly placed for her floral displays. Frances Ann had a deep appreciation for all things handmade and unique, which carried into her fondness for flea markets and yard sales – always on the lookout for a special treasure or hidden gem.
A talented and thoughtful crafter, Frances Ann especially enjoyed making her own greeting cards, each one a reflection of her warmth and personal touch. Whether through flowers, crafts, or kind gestures, she had a way of bringing beauty into the lives of those around her.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM in Range Township Cemetery, State Route 323, Sedalia, Ohio 43151, with Pastor Tina Owens officiating.
