Evelyn Lucile West, age 92, most recently of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, in Stonecroft Health Campus, Bloomington.

Born April 25, 1931, in Meadowdale, West Virginia, she was a daughter of Lawrence McElfresh and Shirley Marie (Bain) McElfresh.  She married the love of her life, Billie J. West, and embraced their life together, raising two cherished children. Evelyn built her life around strong faith, dear family, and generously showering everyone with delicious food (her special love language) .... tasty broccoli-raisin salad, fresh banana cakes, warm homemade pepperoni rolls or bunny bread...no recipe was left unexplored or unshared.  She taught youth bible studies at Monroe Street United Methodist Church in Toledo, Ohio when her family was young.  After moving to London, Ohio she became an active member of the First United Methodist Church.

Evelyn is survived by daughter Valenda (Brad) Loar of Bloomington, Indiana; her son Wayman (Eileen) West of London, Ohio; grandchildren Janice Loar (Chris Shaffer), Robert (Trisha) West and great grandchildren Orson and Charles West.

She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Billie J. West, sisters Mildred Keener and Louise Murphy.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, beginning at 12:30 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Blair Miller officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of services. Evelyn will join her husband, Billie West, (who preceded her passing) at the Toledo Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio 43560 at a later date with immediate family attending.
