GALLAGHER

Eva Jane Gallagher, 92, of London, died Sunday, November 26, 2023, in her residence.

Born July 15, 1931, in London, she was a daughter of John F. and Eva Marie (Bettis) Chesser.

A member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, where she also served on the Women's Guild; Eva Jane retired as an accounting manager from Westinghouse in Columbus.

Survivors include her children Barry (Sherry) Gallagher, Dr. Teena Gallagher, O.F.S. and Renee Tiebout (fiancé' Michael Campbell); grandchildren Amber Conley, Meghann Gallagher, Heather Gallagher, Natalie (Troy) Carpenter and Charles Melzer, Jr.; great grandchildren Addison Conley, Clayton Gallagher, Nevaeh Knight, Ashton Conley, Anthony Jones, Tilik Pruitt, Jacey Cunningham, Ayva Denson, Jace Melzer, Crew Carpenter, Trapper Carpenter, Oaklynn Gallagher and Rocky Carpenter; sister Doris Minner; nephews Jeff (Patty) Minner, Mike (Luann) Minner and Marc (Denise) Minner and Jane's four legged companion Scarlett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Gallagher on July 24, 2000, and daughter Roxane Melzer on October 24, 2008, and son-in-law Charles Melzer. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday, November 30, 2023, in Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 9350 High Free Pike, West Jefferson, Ohio, with Father Dwayne McNew officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of services Thursday. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Paint Memorial Cemetery, London.
