GANDY Ellis Gandy "Gandy", 63 of London, died Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Ohio State University Hospital. Born March 3, 1951; he was the son of Frank and Rayzell (Hinton) Gandy. A member of the First Baptist Church of London, Ellis had been a track foreman for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 45 years before retiring in 2005. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years Marilyn (Wallace) Gandy; sons Derek Ellis Gandy and Marcus Dewayne (Cindy) Gandy; grandchildren Jurney, Butch, Brooke, Chase and great grandchild Nevaeh; siblings Lessie (DeLois) Gandy, Emmett Gandy, Jerry (Cynthia) Gandy, Perry (Elizabeth) Gandy, Renee Hoosier; several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins; in-laws Sharon Hall, Marsha, Harry, Jay (Patty), Rick, Susan, Kim Wallace and Carla (Willie, Jr.) Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of London 250 Toland St. with Rev. Joseph Young and Pastor Tyrone Artis officiating. Interment will follow at Deercreek Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 11 AM until the time of service.
