Ellen Travis, 84, of London died Friday, August 30, 2019 in Darby Glen Nursing Home, Hilliard.

Born July 8, 1935 in London; she was a daughter of James Branson and Amy Belle (Huff) Penwell.

Ellen was a faithful member of the Apostolic Gospel Church in London.

Survivors include her son Mark (Joyce) Travis; brother Alfred (Faye) Penwell; sisters Donna Thompson, Ruth (Larry) Schall (Lickliter), Barbara Nelson (Wayne Wrinkle); numerous nieces and nephews; sister in law Marie Byerly and brother in law Merle (Ethel) Travis.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband Donald Travis in 2000; sisters Betty (Robert) Boysel, Elizabeth Stage and Mae ((Jerry) Phillips; brother William Penwell and baby brother James Penwell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the London Apostolic Gospel Church, 101 Shady Avenue, London with Pastor Mark Schroder officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 5-8 PM Tuesday.

The family suggests memorials in Ellen's name be made to the funeral home.
