Obituary

MORMAN (COX) Mrs. Eleanor "Ellie" (Cox) Morman, 80 of Galloway; went home to the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Mount Carmel Medical Center. Born June 6, 1933 in Chillicothe; she was a daughter of Wendell and Mindora (Smith) Harris. Ellie was a nurse, first working at Madison County Hospital; she then entered private duty nursing. A member of the First Baptist Church of London; she had also been president of the London Police Wives Auxiliary. She was the loving mother and matriarch of Pamela Smith of Grove City, Leela Peterson of Columbus, Brenda (Tony) Moncrief of Canal Winchester, Robyn Cox and Bryon Cox both of Galloway; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings Emmagene "Jean" Hicks of Circleville, Wendell "Tuck" (Lorraine) Harris, Jr. of Maryland, Richard "Joe" (Connie) Harris of Mt. Sterling, Ruth Crosswhite of Circleville and Ronald "Ronnie" (Kathy) Harris of Bloomingburg; a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands Robert "Bob" Cox and George Morman; grandson Preston King and sister Carolyn Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday in the First Baptist Church of London with Rev. Herschel Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the church from 12 noon until time of services Friday. If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation.
