EBRITE
E. Michael "Mike" Ebrite, 69, of London, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Madison Health.
Born December 5, 1953, in Fort Dix, New Jersey, he was a son of E. Edward Ebrite and Barbara (Becker) Ebrite.
We learned so much from Mike's life, and he was better than us in many ways. Something we always appreciated was his honesty. Mike never learned how to be false, to feign, or to lie. If Mike told you something, you knew it was exactly what he was thinking or feeling. Uncommon but admirable traits. Mike was a gift to those who knew and loved him. He was interested in everyone, remembered everyone, cared about everyone. He never met a stranger, and he was the life of the party. He could be feisty. He was also loving, a good brother, and a gentleman who always held the door for the ladies. He was a Special Olympian Gold Medalist. He had a lifelong admiration for policemen, firefighters, and pilots. He liked a sheriff's badge, an authentic cowboy belt and cowboy boots. Mike often amazed people with his strength, and his memory about very specific things like kitchen appliances. One unforgettable thing about Mike was his unique and incredible expression of joy each time he saw someone he loved… his body would tense, he would smile, and you could see the pure joy physically vibrating as happiness spread through his entire body. It never changed, and with every meeting and his face so full of happiness, everything was good. He will be missed by us all. Mike's essence was his joy. Joy at being with people, going to work, singing karaoke, and dancing. It was our honor to be his family, and to love him.
Michael is survived by his mother Barbara Ebrite, brother David Ebrite, sister Barbara Allen, and loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, E. Edward Ebrite.
