SIMPSON Dwight E. Simpson, 83, of London died Tuesday in Columbus. Born June 18, 1933 in Lafayette, Ohio; Dwight had retired from Westinghouse in Columbus after 35 years of service. A US Army veteran, Dwight was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was an avid golfer, pool player and fisherman and an active member of the Madison County Senior Center. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 63 years, Mary Kay (Strine) Simpson and was a devoted father to Richard (Elizabeth) Simpson, James (Carol) Simpson, David (Ellen) Simpson, Mary Beth Simpson and Diane Gifford; and a proud grandfather to Coree, Connor, Kati, Tyler, Michael, Abbi and Marki as well as nine great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. His mother and father preceded him in death as well as his sister Gwen Stringfellow. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM Saturday in St. John's Lutheran Church.
