CHASTAIN

Douglas Edward Chastain, 70, of Lexington, Ohio, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 20, 2024, in his residence.

Born November 25, 1953, in Columbus, he was a son of Harvey Chastain and Constance (Smith) Chastain.

Doug devoted over 25 years to the automotive industry working for UAW. He greatly enjoyed fishing, especially when he was able to fish with his sons and grandkids. Doug also enjoyed watching the Browns and Buckeyes play football as well as all college basketball.

He is survived by his mother Connie Chastain; sons Todd Chastain and Jeremy (Melinda Howard) Chastain; grandchildren Tiffany Chastain, Mandasia Chastain, Jeremy Chastain Jr., Nevaeh Chastain, DeAngelo Chastain, Carter Chastain, and Carson Chastain; great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Davion Chastain; brother Dwayne Chastain, sister Susan (Jerry) Malone; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Doug was preceded in death by his father Harvey Chastain; beloved wife Joellen Chastain; son Edward Chastain; brother Dennis Chastain.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Steve Gilkerson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of services.
