Dorothy Anne Lehman, 90, of Plumwood, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in London Health and Rehabilitation.
Born January 30, 1930 in Columbus, she was a daughter of Ernest and Lela (Ashley) Purdum.
A graduate of Capital University, Dorothy had been a teacher, church organist and owner of the Paint and Pane Store. She was a member of the Lafayette United Methodist Church. She was a proud member of the Monroe Alumni Association. Dorothy loved her role as the oldest of nine children and growing up on the Purdum Farm. She was an avid fan of the Reds and Buckeyes. She played piano for the Purdum Girls, who would perform at various churches. And she treated her fellow residents of Madison Senior Living Community to her musical talents.
Survivors include her son Bryce Lehman; sisters Kathleen Yutzy, Irene Bernier, Ruth Manns and Rose Holycross, brother George Purdum; numerous nieces and nephews, including niece Tara Renner and brother-in-law Jerry Lehman.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rogene Lehman, sisters Gay Harsh and Mary Renner, brother John Purdum and half-brothers Jack, Warren and Bob Purdum. A special thanks to Madison Senior Living Community, London Health and Rehabilitation, Vitas and Jennifer Gillis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London. Interment will follow in Plumwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until time of services Thursday.
The family suggests memorials in Dorothy's name be made to the Lafyette United Methodist Church or the Madison County Humane Society.
