LAIRD Dorothy Laird, 90, of London, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in Fayette Memorial Hospital. Born April 14, 1925 in Omaha, NE; she was a daughter of John Mark and Lyda A. (Taylor) Kingrey. A nurse for Madison County Hospital from 1962-1986, Dorothy helped found and serve as a nurse for Loving Care Hospice. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of London, where she had served as a deacon and with the Ruth Circle and was past matron of the OES#386, London, among many other clubs. Survivors include her daughters Nancy (Jay) Heilman of FL, Carol (Jeff) Jackson of Washington CH and Mary (Tom) Bumpus of Mount Vernon; grandchildren Vincent (Erin) Heilman, Susan (Derek) Brewer, Lauren (Douglas) Patton, Jill (Douglas) Adelsberger, Robert (Rachel) Jackson and David (Lindsay) Bumpus; numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband David R. Laird in 1992, granddaughter Jennifer Bumpus and brother Myron Kingrey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until time of services Saturday.
