BROWNING
Dorothy Jean (Hall) Browning, age 90, of London, passed peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in the Bluebird Retirement Community, surrounded by those she loved most.
Born on December 18, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of Raymond Hall and Helen (Wolfe) Hall. In 1966, she married the love of her life, Herbert Browning, beginning a beautiful journey of partnership, laughter, and shared dreams that spanned 58 years until his passing in 2024. Together, they built a warm, welcoming home and promoted a legacy of love that will endure for generations.
Dorothy spent 30 proud years working as an assembler for General Motors. In an era where women were increasingly breaking barriers in manufacturing, she stepped up to the line every day with precision and dedication.
Behind her hard work, Dorothy was the true matriarch of her family. She was the steady anchor, always ready with a cup of coffee, a listening ear, and the best bit of practical wisdom.
Left to cherish her memory include their children Nola (Terry) Lambert, Cheryl Templin and Mark (Dorene) Browning; grandchildren: Terry (Jill) Lambert, Jr., Amanda (Richie) Kelly, Jason (Jillian) Templin, Kyle (Danielle) Chiappetta, Ryan Browning, Debra Browning (fiancé Alex Cummings), and Dustin (Kari) Browning; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; siblings: Harry (Jamie) Hall, Danny (Stephanie) Hall, Virginia Whitt, Linda Hall; sister-in-law Bobbie Jo Hall; many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Helen, her beloved husband Herbert, son James Browning, brother Harmon Hall, sister Fanny Casto, brother-in-law William Casto.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. Funeral services will be celebrated at 3:00 PM with Vicar Jon Meister officiating. Private interment in Deercreek Township Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Dorothy’s name may be sent to benefit ViaQuest Hospice, 525 Metro Place North Suite 300, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
