WALTERS Doris Mae Walters, 91, of London, died at 4:00AM Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in the Forest Glenn Nursing Facility in Springfield. Born May 29, 1921 in Rosedale, OH, she was a daughter of William "Billy" and Ursel (Brown) Parthemore. Doris had been employed by the F&R Lazarus Co. in Columbus from where she retired in 1987. She was a member of the Plumwood United Methodist Church. Her survivors are two daughters, Peggy (Bernard) Gay of South Vienna, and Linda (Lawrence) Carrocce of Plain City; 3 grandchildren, Candace Gay of South Vienna, Bernie Gay, Jr. of Springfield, and Nicole Carrocce of Plain City; 2 great grandchildren, Bernie Gay III of Enon, OH, and Daniel Nelson of Plain City; a sister, Helen Houck of Springfield; a brother, William Parthemore of Columbus; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Franklin "Buck" Walters on August 7, 1986. Also preceding her in death were 4 sisters, Rita Wehrs, Thelma Wehrs, Dorothy Bradshaw, and Frieda Hughes; and a brother, Luther Parthemore. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM in the Plumwood United Methodist Church with Pastor Carolyn Peacock officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery.
