Donna J. Thompson, 79, of London died Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Doctors West Hospital, Columbus.

Born August 20, 1941 in London; she was a daughter of Branson and Amy Belle (Huff) Penwell.

Survivors include her children Medina Conley of West Jefferson, Richard Thompson of West Jefferson and Katrina (Martin) Perry of Mount Sterling; grandson Mike; great-grandchildren Eric, Hunter, Maya; siblings Ruth (Larry) Schall, Barbara (Wayne) Nelson and Alfred (Faye) Penwell; many nieces and nephews; and close friend Mary Evans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Henry L. "Lafe" Thompson; siblings Ellen Travis, Mae Phillips, Betty Boysel, Elizabeth Stage, William Penwell, and James Lewis Penwell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Dortha Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Big Plain Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. The family asks that anyone attending please dress casually.
