CHESSER-SMITH

Donna Lu Chesser-Smith, 64, of London, died Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Born June 30, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of Byron "Barney" Chesser and Barbara (Sparks) Chesser.

Donna had worked for the State of Ohio Bureau of Vital Statistics for over 40 years. Never one to stay idle, Donna kept herself busy with her pets, gardening, reading, crocheting, and baking. She had a lot of love to give, and enjoyed her family most of all.

She leaves behind daughter Sierra Smith; niece Susan Wright, nephews Nathaniel Nibert and Brian Gilliam; great-niece Helen Henry, great-nephew Byron Gilliam; sister Denise (Steve) Nibert; brother-in-law Fred Gilliam; best friend Beth Dillion, who was like a sister to Donna; beloved four-legged companion Sonny.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Diana Chesser and Debbie Gilliam, brother Fred Chesser; aunt Peggy Sparks.

Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family. Donna was laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery.
