VAN HORN Donald (Uncle Donnie) W. Van Horn, aged 63, joined his family in Heaven on Friday, February 13th, 2015. Donnie was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 28th, 1951 to Ginny and Dick Van Horn, who along with his brother Larry preceded him in death. Donnie graduated from London High School in 1970 and soon after he was drafted to serve in the US Army and was stationed in Long Bien, Vietnam. He was a finish painter for most of his working life and was known for his excellence. He enjoyed playing the drums in local bands and creating pictures and other artwork for family and friends. Donnie is survived by his son John, brother Richard (Sandy) Van Horn, sister Mary (Harry) Hodgdon, Aunt Delores Errickson and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He would especially want us to thank his cousin Nancy Bailey for her kindness. His compassion for others and his bottomless sense of humor will live in the hearts of all who knew him forever. To honor his memory, please pay his kindness forward to someone in need of a listening ear or a helping hand. A celebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date.
