IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald Jayson
Payne
August 2, 1976 – July 7, 2023
PAYNE
Donald Jayson Payne, 46, of London, died on Friday, July 7, 2023, in Arbors of Springfield.
Born August 2, 1976, in Madison County, he was a son of Donald Jay and Carla (Moody) Payne.
Jayson was one of the most kind-hearted and caring people you could ever meet. He was a friend to all and had a bleeding heart for anyone or anything in need, exemplified by his beloved baby Bellamae. Jayson went from not being a cat person to rescuing Bellamae when he found her abandoned during a trip to a haunted house. From that moment on, Jayson was a proud cat father and went on to adopt another cat Mazy in addition to his beloved dog Piglet. When Jayson was not spending time with his family, he enjoyed attending rock and roll concerts. He was even recently able to see his favorite band, KISS, play in concert!
He is survived by his loving husband Shane Wilson; father Donald Payne; siblings Britney Payne and Nathan Payne; niece Alysia Payne whom he loved like a daughter, as well as nephews Kobi Payne and Bryson Payne, and niece Reagyn Payne; aunts and uncles Carol Ginther, Buddy (Brenda) Moody, Diana VanDine, Deborah McClain (Gary Mayes), Marla (John) Stouffer, Kevin Moody, Mike Moody, Brian (Jan) Moody, Steve (Alicia) Moody, Becky (Sommer) Moody, Bradley Moody, Janet White, Richard Payne, Ricky Payne; numerous cousins; beloved four-legged children Piglet, Mazy, and Bellamae.
Jayson was preceded in death by his mother Carla; grandparents Matt and Hazel Payne and Mildred Moody; uncles Bill Moody, John VanDine, David Payne, Tommy Payne, and aunt Sue Bowser.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, with Pastor Tyrone Artis officiating.
