Donald Eugene Landis, 80, of Washington Court House, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Court House Manor.

Born April 1, 1946, in London, Donald was a son of Ralph Landis and Catherine (Baker) Landis. He spent many years working as a farm laborer and later for a waste management company where his dependable nature earned the respect of his coworkers and customers alike. Donald was talented in many things and could fix, build, or figure out just about anything.

He was known for being set in his ways, but also for being a man of his word. If he promised something, you could count on him to follow through and always give the honest truth. Donald enjoyed working on lawnmowers and was happiest in the garage with his tools nearby – always having the exact tool for the job, along with several backups on standby.

A collector of many things, Donald enjoyed adding to his collections over the years, with each item carrying its own story or purpose. Above all, he dearly loved his dog, Charlie, who was his constant companion and brought him endless joy.

Donald is survived by his brother Terry (Donna) Landis of Sabina, sister Marie Herron of Washington Court House, sister Peggy Jones of Sabina, in addition to several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his dear friend Ruth.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Catherine, brother Ronald Scott Landis, former partner and friend Anna Thomas.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43130. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joy Stanforth officiating. Interment will follow in Plumwood Cemetery.
