TERRY

Donald "Donnie" E. Terry, 92, went to sleep to our enemy death on December 20, 2023. Uncle Donnie died peacefully, just like the man he was.

He was born January 30, 1931, to Clayton and Grace (Baker) Terry. He lived his entire life in London. He never drove a car, but walked his whole life around town. He made friends just passing people and businesses on the sidewalks of London. Uncle Donnie served in the Army and fought for his country in the Korean War. He was a member of the Madison Memorial Post #105, American Legion, and the F.O.E. #950. He enjoyed going there to see his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Barbara (Stuthard) Terry, brothers Jimmy and Jack Terry. He is survived by nieces Lynn (Terry) Ortega, Valerie Terry, Denise (Terry) Gilmore, Darla (Mark) Bires, Jill (Dustin) Deyo, Vicki (Ralph) Miller, Christy (Scott) Beathard; nephews Michael (Eva) Terry, Jeff (Carol) Terry; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Uncle Donnie was the last survivor of his generation in our family.

Uncle Donnie, you were so special to me, my dad (Jimmy) Asked me to promise to look after you and I tried my best. I'm going to miss you and I know you knew I loved you, Denise.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM, in Kirkwood Cemetery, 1600 State Route 42 SW, London, Ohio 43140, with Reverend Jim Blankenship officiating.
