Diane K. (Russell) Hedrick, 73, of London, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital.
Born September 18, 1951, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, she was a daughter of Richard P. Russell and Pauline (Walker) Russell.
Never one to stay idle, Diane enjoyed working as an aerobics instructor for the Buckeye Athletic Club in Columbus in addition to training and showing Saddlebred horses. An avid animal lover, she also trained and showed Pedigree Dogs across several breeds, in addition to being a member of both the American Kennel Club (AKC) and American Saddlebred Association. Additionally, Diane enjoyed working both at the Choctaw Marina and as a hot air balloon chaser. She always enjoyed water sports with her friends and family, including wave running and water skiing. Her true passion for life, sense of adventure, ambition, and above all, her love for her family, will be truly missed yet proudly continued by those blessed to know Diane.
Diane leaves behind a rich legacy through her adoring husband of 57 years Allen Hedrick; sons Allen (Amy) Hedrick, Jr. and Paul Edward Hedrick, daughter Nicole Christina (William) Lowry; grandchildren Amber Lynn Hedrick, Allen Hedrick III, Jacob Hedrick, Zoey Hedrick, Alicia Gonzalez, Chelsea Lowry, Riley Cole Lowry; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Richard P. (Millie) Russell, Jr, sister Connie Sue Freeman; nieces Sarah (Josh), Christina, Jennifer, and Joey Diane; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Diane's family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, beginning at 12:00 noon with Mr. Allen Hedrick Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery.
