BORDERS Dewey "Junior" Borders, 88, of London died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Columbus. Born May 28, 1930 in Magoffin County, KY; he was a son of Dewey and Dora (Penix) Borders. A US Army veteran of Korea, Dewey had worked for Westinghouse for 33 years, before retiring in 1988. Survivors include his son and daughter in law Robert and Brenda Borders of Gahanna; grandchildren Devan Jean (Allan) Humphries, Robert Brandon (Sarah) Borders, Rachel (Shamus) Estep, Amanda (Chris) Robinson and Sarah (Brandon) Creech; 10 great grandchildren; brothers Joe (Betty) Borders, Ken (Shirley) Borders and Roger (Josephine) Borders, sisters June (James) Collins and Jewell Mae (Marvin) Arnett; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jean on December 24, 2018, son Barry Borders and brothers Chester, Vanzel, Ray and Jack Borders and sister Peachie Crace. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St, London with Elders of the Alder Chapel United Baptist Church and Pastor James Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Somerford Township Cemetery.
