MCCONNELL

Born on September 15, 1959, Deon McConnell, beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on May 30, 2025.

Born to John E. and Georgia Joan McConnell, Deon grew up loving the simple life in the rural communities of Madison County.  He graduated from Madison Plains High School in 1978 and went on to dedicate his life to farm-related services. Through the years, he loved spending time with family and friends, joking, laughing, fishing, and hunting.

Deon was preceded in death by his father, John E. McConnell, and his grandmother, Thelma Boss. He is survived by his mother and children, Jessica (Brent) Davis and Jeremiah McConnell. He also leaves behind his granddaughters, Madison and Blake Davis, his sisters, Kim (David) Bowling and Kathy (Mark) Kimbler, his brothers, Troy (Teri) McConnell and Michael (Martha) McConnell, many nieces and nephews, special friend Teri Wilkins, and his buddy Jordan Wilkins, who thought of Deon as a grandpa.

The family would like to thank all Deon's friends who provided him with tremendous love and support. They would also like to extend a special thanks to Jody Nida who provided friendship, care, and compassion on a daily basis through recent years as he faced health challenges.

A graveside service will be held at a later date followed by interment in Dennison Chapel Cemetery.
