JOHNS

Debra A. “Debbie” (Dudley) Johns, age 63, of South Charleston, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026, in the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.

Born in Florida on January 23, 1963, Debbie was a daughter of Joann P. (Harrold) Dudley. She devoted many years to the young minds of London City Schools as an educator in the computer lab.

While she loved her work in the schools, her true heart’s passion was her family. Debbie was a devoted mother and a proud, adoring grandmother whose world revolved around caring for her children and grandkids. Nothing brought her greater joy than showering them with love, supporting their dreams, and creating memories together.

When she had quiet time, you could often find Debbie in the kitchen, watching cooking shows and testing new recipes to share. She had a soft spot for the magic of Christmas, loved holiday movies, and would happily keep the Hallmark Channel on all year long.

Her warmth, generosity, and kind heart will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing Debbie.

Left to cherish her memory include her children: Kenney (Shawnda) Johns (daughter Mackenzie Johns), Sean Johns (children Sean and Lilian Johns), Amy (Arthur) Merideth (children Kaden and Zachary Dennen, Lucas and Arabella Merideth), Ryan Johns (children Carter and Julian “Red” Johns), Logan Johns (daughters Elizabeth and Adrianna Johns), Mia Johns, and Stephen Johns (daughter Veda Johns); daughter-in-law Ashley Johns. She is also survived by her very dear friend and Godmother to her children, Donna (Gerald) Guthrie-Hodos.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Joann.

Cremation will take place in accordance with Debbie’s wishes. Private interment in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia, Ohio, will then take place at the convenience of the family.

Memorials in Debbie’s name may be sent to benefit the American Cancer Society online at www.cancer.org.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, where condolences for the John’s family may be shared online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
