Obituary

HOPKINS

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Debbie Sue (Woods) Hopkins, age 66, who died on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in her residence. Her departure leaves a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved her, but her legacy of faith, service, and kindness will live on.

Born January 26, 1960, in Hamilton, Ohio, Debbie was a daughter of Charles Richard Woods and Alice Irene (Weller) Woods. Debbie honorably served in the United States Army, demonstrating the strength, courage, and dedication that would define her life. She carried that same spirit of service into her civilian life, devoting many years as a certified nursing assistant in Marysville. With gentle hands and a compassionate heart, she cared for countless residents, treating each one with dignity, patience, and love.

For the past two decades, she faithfully worked at the H.E.L.P. House in London, where she continued her mission of helping others. Whether offering practical support or simply sharing her warm smile, she made a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. A devoted follower of Jesus, Debbie was a dedicated member of the 100Fold Church in Grove City. She found joy in worship, strength in prayer, and purpose in serving others. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived – generous, forgiving, and always ready to lend a helping hand.

Debbie was known for her giving spirit and the smile that never seemed to leave her face. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. Her kindness was quiet but powerful, and her presence brought comfort and light to every room she entered.

Though her passing was sudden, the impact she made during her 66 years is everlasting. She leaves behind family, friends, church family, and a community who will forever cherish her memory.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Irene Woods. She is survived by her son Rick Studebaker Jr. (Kimberly Craney) of Brookfield, Vermont; ex-husband Kenny Hopkins of London; dear friend/coworker Delores Heilman, as well as very close friends Jimmy and Roger.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A heartfelt memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Zach Rostofer officiating. Private interment will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin.
