SIMMONS

Deanna "Dee" Gay Simmons, 80, of London, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, August 13, 2022, with her family by her side.

Born March 29, 1942, in Ironton, Ohio, she was a daughter of Andrew Ross and Anna Pearl (Baldridge) Brewer.

Deanna graduated from South High School in 1960. After graduating she worked for the State of Ohio. She then went on to work for Rockwell International in the Aerospace industry when Rockwell shut down in Whitehall, Ohio. Dee moved to California and finished her career with Boeing where she retired from after 42 years.

She enjoyed listening to country music, especially Toby Keith. She passed down her love of country music to her daughter and grandkids which they plan to carry on in her honor.

Dee is survived by her daughter Rhonda (Rick) Nelson; grandchildren Megan (Ryan) Durbin, Zachary Childers (Makenna), and Kelsey Nelson (fiancée Brandon); great-granddaughter Lettie Lavonne Cottage; as well as many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lenville "Len" Gallie Brewer, and grandson Thomas Andrew Childers.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Dee's name be sent to Loving Care Hospice, P.O. Box 445, London, Ohio 43140.
