Day’Shawn Lamar Baker

Native of Ohio and a resident of Coco Beach, Florida. He is survived by two special children: Ty’Ren Clark and Ta’Mira Hutchins; Mother Kelly Camp and Step-father Wayne Jones; Five Brothers: Spencer Alley, Derrick, Del’Quan, Da’Quandae, and Da’Mohn Baker, Two sisters D’Erykah and Dizaria Baker; Three favorite Aunts: Samantha Camp, Amanda Kraft, and Anedra Burns; his favorite Uncle, Alan Hoover, who served as a confidant and guiding light to Day’Shawn; As well as a bunch of cousins, four of which were special to him: Big Zy, KenKade Snyder, Terrence Hiseman, and Marvin Harris. His two closest friends were William Morton and Micheal Sweet Sr. Day’Shawn was proceeded in death by his father Derrick Baker Sr. and grandparents Sam and Linda Camp. Day’Shawn was on a journey to change his life around. He was working, living the family life, and attending church. Day’Shawn had a one-of-a-kind spirit, he was outgoing, but also a very quiet person at the same time. He was working in the industrial field in addition to working on his GED. He was most passionate about his rap music career and was very good at it. Day’Shawn’s laugh was contagious – you could often find yourself laughing along before you even knew why. His smile could light up every room drawing everyone to its warmth and was truly a light that will never fade, but rather it will continue to live on in the memories Day’Shawn blessed us with.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. Funeral services will then begin at 1:00 PM. In honoring Day’Shawn’s life, family and friends will be invited to share their favorite memories and stories – the moments that made you laugh, smile, and feel the light Day’Shawn brought into the world.
