MCGUIRE

David Alan McGuire, (94) of London, Ohio, passed away on November 17, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. David was one of 13 children born to Thomas and Edith (Keifer) McGuire.

He served in the Army during World War II and graduated from London High School and Findlay College with a degree in science and education. Later he earned a master's degree from Antioch College. David taught and coached football and track in numerous schools throughout Ohio and at Babylon High School on Long Island, NY.

David is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Lee (Foster) and survived by his children Diane Davis, Deane McGuire, Mark McGuire, Sally Cormier and Brian McGuire as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Judi Killebrew and many nieces and nephews.

David loved babies. He enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also a big Ohio State football fan, watching their games every week with his son Mark. He loved his sweets, and he was often gifted cookies, donuts and M&Ms.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023, beginning at 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.  Graveside services will be held Monday, November 27, 2023, at 9:00 AM in Kirkwood Cemetery.
