David Lee Klein, 86, of Hilliard, died Wednesday January 24 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born January 13 1938, in Columbus, Ohio to Henry and Jeanette Klein. David graduated from Marion Franklin High School. Not long after he served in the Army Reserve which added a new dimension to his young life. David was a Hvac repairman throughout his life and worked at the Continental Can where he later retired. One of his many hobbies was bowling. He was an avid Ohio State fan and also excelled at woodworking and refinishing old furniture. His garage held the hobby he loved the most restoring old Chevies. He loved his dogs and they were always showing how much they loved him. The ultimate in canine companionship. David also really loved being a Grandpa and spending time with family. We will all feel this void in our lives. David is preceded in death by his parents Jeanette and Henry Klein, and also his nephew Bradley. He leaves behind his beloved wife Wilma Klein, his sister Beverly Malins of Venice, Florida, Daughter Kristin Klein and son Douglas Klein, Stepdaughters Bethany Marchese and Christiana Peters, Grandchildren Kile King, Jordan Davidson, Brittany Carrel, Corey Carrel, and Deven Hillyer, 7 Great Grandbabies, and numerous dear friends. There will be no services in accordance with David's wishes. Family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
