David Charles Goings, 73, of London died Monday, October 11, 2021, in Good Shepherd Village, Springfield.

Born July 8, 1948, in Urbana, he was the son of David and Martha (Waugh) Goings.

A graduate of Madison South High School, David was active in the marching band, playing the drums. A US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he loved cooking and exotic animals of all sorts. He was a longtime employee of the London Pizza Hut.

Survivors include his uncle Raymond (Stephanie) Lowe and many cousins including Brenda Cain and Connie Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father and stepmother Edna Geraldine Goings.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, October 15, 2021, in Deercreek Township Cemetery with Pastor Tyrone Artis officiating.
