WAGNER Dalmer Earl Wagner, 82, of London, died peacefully in his residence at 10:38AM on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Born May 11, 1931 in Benton Harbor, MI, he was a son of Adolph and Emma (Mattner) Wagner. Dalmer was employed as a professional electrical engineer for over 20 years at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, serving 4 years, then serving 16 Years with the Ohio Air National Guard. He was extremely proud of having received a personal "thank you" letter for honorable service to his country from President George Bush. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church in London, Dalmer was also a member of the V.F.W. Dalmer enjoyed polka music and he loved to fish. Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Margarete "Maggie" (Petersen) Wagner; 2 daughters and sons in law, Beverly Luise (Louis) Richards of West Chester, OH, and Kathleen (Robert) Henry of London; 3 grandchildren, Rick Hodges and Amanda and Scott Henry; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Adella Fandrick; and 3 brothers, Charles, Warren and Alfred Wagner. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday in St. John's Lutheran Church in London with Pastor Orinda Hawkins-Brinkley officiating. Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, London, from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Military honors will be bestowed upon Mr. Wagner in the funeral home at 7:00 PM Tuesday by the West Jefferson Post #7005 V.F.W.
