Obituary

BOWEN Clifford C. Bowen, 101, of Dublin, Ohio, formerly of London, died Monday, March 31, 2014. Born in Hazard Kentucky on February 8, 1913, he was the son of John and Nellie (Grant) Bowen. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Clifford worked as a coal miner in Kentucky and later moved to Detroit to work with Ford, General Motors and Bowers Roller Bearing. He was a member and Quartermaster of the former H.V. Christopher VFW Post # 1176. Survivors are his granddaughter Mandy (Steven) Walsh of Dublin and great granddaughter, Jessica Walsh of Dublin. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lucille Bowen in 1973. Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, London, from 2:00-3:00PM on Friday, April 4, 2014 with services beginning at 3PM. Pastor Gaye Gossard will be officiating. Interment will be in Kirkwood Cemetery, London. Memorials may be made to the West Jefferson VFW Post and online condolences may be made to the family at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
