OILER Charles M. Oiler, 82, of London went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in his residence. Born March 21, 1936 in Columbus; he was a son of Jemima (Chenault) and Carl Oiler, Sr. A US Army veteran, Charles retired after 31 years of service at International Harvester in Springfield. He spent his youth working on the family farm. Once he had started his family, Charles enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He also enjoyed deer hunting, although he never got a deer, tinkering on cars and was a CB enthusiast. He leaves behind his daughters and sons in law Kimmie and Herman Stanley and Beth and Q Martens; son in law Ronald Crawford I; grandchildren Adam Crawford, Ronald Crawford II, Shannon Crawford, Kaiela Stanley (fiancée Temyus Bryant), Charles (Shelton) Stanley and Melanie Green; great grandchildren Kyree Minor, Keisha Crawford, Khalill Crawford, Kenyon Brown, Latise Hill, Nicodemus Crawford, Evan Fooce, Treazure Crawford, Thaddius Crawford, Maddox Crawford, Juliana Crawford, Kayleigh Bryant, Tytus Crawford, Ahni Crawford; great-great grandson Kaydrion Crawford; siblings Janet Ellars, Patty Oiler, Carl (Deed) Oiler, Jr, and Dale Oiler; sisters in law Dixie Miller Morris and Flo Oiler-Ramey, many nieces and nephews and good friends Ed (Lynn) Banion and Bill (Patty-deceased) Duffy. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Melanie Olive (Miller) Oiler; daughter Harrina Kaie Oiler-Crawford, sister Joan Oiler Glass, sister in law who was like a daughter Stacie Ann Miller, nephew Bryan Oiler, niece Amy Ellars; mother in law Betty Miller Dillon, father in law Harry J. Miller; sisters in law Mary Janice Oiler and Mazie Reece, brothers in law Foss Ellars and Harry R. Miller, Sr, niece Cherilyn B. Colwell. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, March 14, 2019 in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Mr. Ed Banion officiating.
