IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Edward
Love

Graveside Service
Dayton National VA Cemetery
Starts at 9:00 am (Eastern time)
LOVE
Today we pause to honor the life of a man whose story may be known to few, but whose service and sacrifice touched a nation. At 76 years of age, Charles Edward Love, passed from this life on February 10, 2026, in his residence.
Born on October 2, 1949, in Columbus, Charles was a son of George Love and Delores (Graham) Love. Beginning his service in the years of the Vietnam war, he answered the call to serve his country. As a sailor in the United States Navy, he carried out his duties with dedication and courage during a time when the world asked so much of those willing to stand in uniform. His years of service, given faithfully and honorably, contributed to the protection of the freedoms and values cherished by millions.
Though the details of his life may be quiet, the meaning of his service is not. He stepped forward when our nation needed him most. The oceans he crossed, the watches he stood, and the responsibilities he bore were all acts of commitment to something greater than himself.
May he find fair winds and following seas. May his watch stand relieved. And may he rest in eternal peace; with the gratitude of the nation he served.
Graveside services with military honors will take place at 9:00 AM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140, where condolences are encouraged to be shared online at www.eberlefisherfuneralhome.com.
